The new Batman (Christian Bale) movie coming summer 2008 increases the stakes in his battle on notorious criminals in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight." With the support of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman fights the remaining criminal master minds that challenge Gotham's city streets. The partnership proves to be powerful, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of terror unleashed by a rising criminal super power known to the terrified people of Gotham as The Joker (Heath Ledger).
